Our Sustainability Policy

Creating the difference naturally

"We must become the change we want to see in the world."

Thinking of buying garden furniture? Do you know the origin of the timber they use? Are they carbon neutral?

This:

Garden Furniture

Some of Britain's best known retail chains and garden centres are selling outdoor furniture made from trashed rainforest timber, which is helping to push some of the world's most endangered species to the brink of extinction.

Or this:

Below you see Martin selecting the right shapes and the right boards here in Dorset; fine Seasoned English Oak sustainably grown.

Our policy is to follow the FSC "Chain of Custody" thus ensuring all timber used to make your swing seats is tracked from felling (and subsequent replanting), to sawmill, to shipper, to timber merchant and finally to workshop. We only use Oak, Western Red Cedar and joinery quality softwood Vac-Vac treated. We know our sources. Do you?

We recently had the business audited by carbonfootprint.com and from 2010 we will be carbon neutral.
