Our wooden Love Seat Swing is designed with a curvaceous s-Shape with slatted back so you and your partner can sit comfortably facing each other. Each seat is also slightly wider than the norm for added comfort, and the springs allow for a gently and relaxing swinging movement, so you can enjoy many an hour together on the seat.
The traditional Love Seat dates back to the 17th century where
it was originally a larger than normal seat designed to
accommodate one woman (in her extra wide dress), and one man,
allowing them to sit side-by-side together, but not too closely,
as society dictated. The design then evolved into an S-Shape
curve, so that the couple could face each other when seated but
still retain a respectable distance.
